As for technical features, the most common: 10.1-inch 1,024 × 600 pixels, Intel Atom N450 CPU at 1.66 GHz with integrated GPU, several USB ports, VGA video output and integrated Ethernet network. Regarding the design, the casing is plastic but looks very similar to carbon fiber, a material widely used in high-end equipment in which providing added durability and consistency.
On the Asus 1001PX we find two models available:
1001PX Asus Windows XP: 160GB hard drive and 3 cell battery to provide up to 5 hours of battery life depending on the manufacturer. Its price, 241 euros.
Asus 1001PX with Windows 7 with 250 GB capacity and 6-cell battery, up to 9 hours. It will retail for around 300 euros.
Interesting the first, with Windows XP, for people who want a netbook for very basic tasks. The second, on the contrary, I think a better device quality / price ratio, especially for the 6-cell battery and its long autonomy.
